spite of the entrepreneurial gains of the past century, a recent
article in Smart Money reports that, in 2002, the average firm
owned by white women recorded $155,000 in revenues, while
companies owned by Hispanic women reported about $65,000, and
those owned by African-American women recorded roughly $38,000.
